The nethack.alt.org public NetHack server located in California, USA allows you to browse games live as others play them:
$ telnet nethack.alt.org
A few other servers also run dgamelaunch and are mostly used by those who find NAO too far away. You can watch games if anyone is playing:
- Nostalgia Public NetHack Server, Sweden:
$ telnet nostalgia.suroot.com
- Slackwell.com NetHack server, Indiana, USA:
$ telnet telnet slackwell.com
- Imelaps public nethack server, Estonia:
$ telnet nethack.imelaps.ee
If you miss a game on nethack.alt.org or nostalgia.suroot.com, grab ttyrecs from NAO or Nostalgia.

The nethack.alt.org weekly scorefest is a competition where players strive to acquire as high a score as possible with new characters within the given time limit. It has been inactive since the beginning of November 2006.
