You receive the message "You feel like someone is helping you" after any of three events that can remove a curse from one or more items:

• Reading a scroll of remove curse while not confused. If "the scroll disintegrates", then the scroll itself was cursed and no curses have been lifted, although any punishment will be lifted.
• Casting the spell of remove curse successfully.
• Stepping on a magic trap and receiving the remove curse effect; this acts as an uncursed scroll of remove curse.
