"You feel much better" is a message seen in the following circumstances:

"You feel much better." (note the period.)

You drank a potion of extra healing or

you prayed with 1/7 or less hit points, or 5 or fewer hit points, and your god decided to heal you.

"You feel much better!" (note the bang)

You had life saving and died.
